Join us on Saturday 27th May for a dedicated one day Urban Writing Retreat at the Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds.

All are welcome to join to get the time and space they need to create their work.

We  will be writing from 10-3 in a quiet side room, where you will be  welcome to plug in your laptop, or bring your notebook, and spend the  day working on your projects.

This is a 'Bring Your Own Work'  retreat. We won't be setting exercises or prompts - it is up to you to  bring your own project to this writing day.

We will be in Room 3  which is down the corridor from the Carriageworks Bar, and which is  accessible by a platform lift. It is a lovely quiet room, and last time  many of the writers who came got a lot of work done during the five  hours. One writer commented: "I've written hundreds of words today,  loads more than I've been able to do for ages."

Tickets are £6 /  £3 concession. We're sorry that we can no longer offer this as a PWYF  event. We have to pay for the room hire for these events, and the last  couple of times we've run it, we've ended up having to subsidise the  event ourselves! We can't really afford to keep doing that, so please  book a paid ticket if you would like to come. We don't take a wage for  doing this and all of your ticket fees go into paying the room hire.

Concessions  are available for anyone who can't afford full price, and if you want  to come but can't afford that either, please contact us.
