About the event

Join  our Urban Writing Retreat for a chance to meet other writers and to  have protected quiet time and dedicated space to work on your project.  These 1-day retreats are open to all and they are PWYF (suggested  donation £5). These events are run by Fictions of Every Kind, one of Leeds' longest-established social events for writers.

The  day will run as follows: 10.00-10.30 welcome & check-in; 10.30-2.00  writing time (take your lunch when you like) 2.00-3.00 discussion &  social time.

The room itself will be a quiet space; if you  need to talk as part of your creative process, please go through into  the Carriageworks Bar so you don't disturb others.

Please note, this is not a workshop. It's a BYOW (Bring Your Own Work) retreat. No prompts or exercises will be set.  Writers bring their own projects to work on, all we do is provide the  friendliness and the space!

This is a PWYF event but, as we  incur expenses for running it, please consider making a minimum  donation of £5 if you can. We will turn nobody away for lack of funds.

All welcome. Places will be limited, with desks spaced apart, and the room will be lovely and warm with a small selection of snacks provided.

This event is in the Carriageworks, an accessible venue. Carers & Personal assistants attend free of charge. Please book an 'accessible ticket' if you have access needs so that we can contact you to understand and accommodate your needs.

Book your ticket on Eventbrite here.
