Fictions of Every Kind: Help Yourself, Tues 2nd December, 2014
Fictions of Every Kind: Help Yourself
Tuesday 2nd December, 7:30, £3 in
Wharf Chambers*, Leeds
In a slight change of format, our December event (which will also be our fourth birthday! Yes, we are four years old!) will feature a short story performance, and a series of short films curated specially for the event.
"Logisticians Anonymous", by Armin Koomagi. Koomagi is an award-winning Estonian writer whose work has appeared in the 2012 anthology "Best European Fiction" and won the Friedebert Tuglas Short Story Award. He is the author of two short story collections and two novels. At this event, his story will not be read by the author himself, but by a performer. We hope you will join us at this very special event. The night will also feature a programme of specially curated award-winning short films on the theme. Open mic: There will be a few slots available at our writers' open mic. Short stories, flash fiction, jokes, stand-up, true stories, and excerpts of larger work are all welcome. Please keep your contributions at 5 minutes or under (you'll be stopped if you go over).
* Please note: Wharf Chambers is a members club & you must be a member in order to attend an event here. Joining costs £1 and takes 48 hours to take effect. Please see www.wharfchambers.org to join.
